Nicolai Troshinsky, who worked on the original design for wacky iOS game UFO On Tape, has independently released brand-new iPad-only title Loop Raccord.

This Independent Games Festival finalist is a video-editing game inspired by Peter Greenaway's experiments in that field, which sees you piece together short video clips to create an illusion of continuous movement.

Since Troshinsky is, strictly speaking, a children's book illustrator and animation filmmaker, he had to offload programming duties on Loop Raccord to Staring Goat Games.

And, cut!

Loop Raccord features three game modes - Classic, Two Players, and Combo Rush - and randomly generated levels packed with clips from old American TV shows.

Apple's social gaming network Game Center provides both leaderboards and achievements.

You can don your director's cap and grab the undeniably unique Loop Raccord from the App Store right now for £1.99 / $2.99.
