Despite being designed to be small and easily portable, some people think PSP should be that little bit bigger and louder. Cue the launch of two peripherals from SpectraVideo.

The first is the Logic 3 Sound Grip - a portable speaker system, which clips around your PSP adding a large speaker to the front of the unit. It also includes a moulded handgrip around your PSP so it won’t slip out of your hands. Presumably this is to guard against you dropping your PSP in surprise at any sudden loud noises that will be amplified by the stereo speakers. Also included in the package are a stand, batteries - it uses 2 AAA batteries or can be powered by the standard PSP power adaptor - and a carry case. It costs £20.

But those of you with desire for turning up to 11 will prefer the Logic 3 Sound System. This is a portable stereo plus bass amplifying sub-woofer speaker set up (and yes, it’s called a 2.1 system as there are 2 speakers and 1 sub-woofer so 2.1). Designed to provide a mini-surround sound home theatre experience, your PSP can be mounted within the Sound System for watching movies, where it will run off the unit’s power unit, or connect to it using a cable if you’re playing games. The package includes a mains adaptor, carry-case and the line-in cable. It costs £50.
