Titus Andronicus gets a free iPhone game
The band, not the Shakespeare play
Record label Beggars Group has launched an iPhone game to promote the new album by New Jersey indie-punk-shoegazers Titus Andronicus.
(That's what it says they are on their MySpace profile, we promise you).
The game is called Loadin' and has just gone live on the App Store. It's based on Tetris, except with instruments falling from the top of the screen instead of blocks. The theme is about loading up a van, see.
Two tracks from the band's new album are featured in the game, and there's the option to click through to buy it from the iTunes Store, or visit the band's website - they're signed to Beggars' label XL/Merok.
Oh, and there's also a global high-scores table so you can see how your instrument-shifting skills compare to other players.
It's the first example of a band getting a promotional iPhone game, although Pink and Snow Patrol both got interactive iPhone apps last year.
