How to get around in Spain

There are plenty of adult apps on the App Store, but the ones I’ve downloaded strictly for research purposes and not at all for personal gratification of any kind have been fairly disappointing.

Lingobabes - Spanish, which has just hit the App Store, is an adult application, but it also has a practical function: you can use it to negotiate your way through various social encounters in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries by consulting with an often scantily clad model called Dominika.

Silly tillation aside, the language function looks fairly good, with 100 different video clips (translating, we assume, to 100 phrases.) The pretty girl delivering the phrases is just a bonus, although only for people who take an interest in such things, and even then only in the right company.

Developer Harmonypark claims there will be other versions along soon for German, Italian, French, and Japanese. The App costs £2.99.

(And yes, it was difficult to get through that news story without using the term ‘cunning linguist.’ Thanks for asking.)
