Line Rider iRide cruises on into the App Store

The internet platform game phenomenon, Line Rider, now slides on into the App Store in inXile's newest adaptation, iRide.

We like to see a proper conversion that makes an effort to adapt to its new platform, and Line Rider iRide definitely seems to fit the profile. While promising to make full use of the accelerometer, the touchscreen is an obvious boon to a game that requires you to fashion slopes and courses for line rider Bosh to risk his virtual life upon.

"In just the first day Line Rider is in the top 10 of paid applications on iTunes," said Brian Fargo, chief executive officer of inXile. "Line Rider is the perfect game for the iPhone and will provide almost endless gameplay as mobile users will be able to share their tracks and ride the lines almost anywhere now."

Players are able to upload their masterpiece tracks for other Line Riders to share with new features Draw & Pan, Gravity Tilt and Night Ride adding to the hand-drawn possibilities.

Could also be a great companion for that new iPhone stylus, eh?
