Line Rider coming to iPhone

Popular web game hits the App Store this month

Line Rider coming to iPhone

inXile Entertainment has announced that it's bringing Line Rider to iPhone and iPod Touch this month.

The game will apparently cost $2.99 when it hits the App Store, indicating a sub-£2 price for us Brits. At least, that's what we hope.

It'll follow the same format as the hugely popular web version of the game, so you'll be guiding your character down a series of line-drawn tracks, avoiding obstacles.

Connectivity will be a big part of the iPhone version, as you'll be able to download tracks created by other players from the Line Rider website, while also uploading your own.

Naturally, the game has been rejigged to use the iPhone's touchscreen interface too, while inXile has also put a 'movie' mode in so you can playback your best performances.

"Our strong and vocal audience has been asking for an iPhone / iPod Touch version of Line Rider ever since the touch interface was introduced," says Brian Fargo, inXile's CEO.

We'll aim to bring you a review as soon as the game comes out.
