After leading his team to Olympic victory in Beijing, the 21 year old Argentinean soccer star, Leo Messi, has lent his name to the first in a series of licensed mobile football titles.

This game was apparently created using authentic motion capture data following a live session with Messi to record his best moves for inclusion in the game. Players will be taking control of Leo's character and his team as they pursue a league championship in this first . Special tricks exclusive to Leo Messi are featured in 2D and 3D graphics, with a high degree of intelligence supposedly built-in to support the opposing teams.

"The achievement Leo Messi had in the Olympics casts a bigger spotlight on Messi as a highly valuable player and is more than fitting for the launch of Leo Messi-GOAL! We are delighted to contribute to his success with the first instalment of this lively series of Leo Messi-GOAL!," said Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO of Artificial Life.

Available now from www.botme.com - Artificial Life's m-commerce portal - the game will also be available soon on-deck and off-deck via operators and resellers around the world.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
