Lego Lord of the Rings coming soon for DS, 3DS and PS Vita

One teaser trailer to rule them all

Lego Lord of the Rings coming soon for DS, 3DS and PS Vita

Lego Lord of the Rings is a franchise crossover made in geek and gamer heaven.

Teased in December of 2011, it was expected to follow the established Lego game route of being released for all major platforms.

And now, Warner Brothers Games has confirmed as much and released a teaser trailer for the game. Lego Lord of the Rings is scheduled for a fall 2012 release date - just before the theatrical release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Gamespot reports that it will launch for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and PC

All in one fun

Unlike previous Lego franchise crossover that spanned multiple games, Lego Lord of the Rings will feature the entire trilogy in one game - although a Hobbit sequel cannot be ruled out in the future.

The game’s teaser trailer highlights the familiar Lego design and humour that has come to define the franchise, but features a marked departure from previous games: full voice acting with dialog taken directly from the films.

Because this is a teaser trailer, we cannot be sure if the voice acting will feature in the game itself but we will hopefully have some answers if there is a demo available at E3.
