Lego Indiana Jones swinging its way on to DS and PSP?
And, yes, it is based on the first three films
LucasArts has unveiled the next film franchise in line for the Lego video game treatment is Indiana Jones.
Developed by the same team at Traveller's Tales responsible for the Lego Star Wars series (and the forthcoming Lego Batman), the game promises the same tongue-in-cheek humour while incorporating the most memorable elements from the Indy cinematic trilogy.
"In addition to providing the quality bonding time inspired by any good family game, Lego Indiana Jones delivers something a little different for everyone," said LucasArts' president, Jim Ward, Fedora hat on head and fake whip in hand.
"Parents will enjoy the humorous take on some of their favourite movies, and their kids get some rousing action/adventure gameplay that may also introduce them to Indy's original adventures for the first time."
You can check out an amusing announcement trailer for the game by visiting the game's official site.
The release date is currently set to coincide with the fourth Indiana Jones film, in summer 2008, and while no formats have been officially announced, we expect both handhelds to be catered for given the publisher and developer's past support for Sony and Nintendo's portables.
