New mobile game blends Lego Bionicle with Tower Defense

Lego Bionicle Defender should be a geeky treat

New mobile game blends Lego Bionicle with Tower Defense

Disney Mobile has announced its second Lego Bionicle game for mobile, Lego Bionicle Defender. It follows the critically acclaimed (by us) Lego Bionicle Challenge, albeit in a different genre.

See, rather than racing, this time the focus is on strategy, with you battling against four different enemies in the underwater Bionicle universe.

Developed by Kiloo, the game will feature two different modes – Campaign and Survival – and from the screenshots, is clearly inspired by popular desktop game Tower Defense.

There'll be six towers to unlock, as well as five different zones and six Toa Marhi warriors (we assume this makes sense to anyone who's up on their Bionicle toys).

It's also the first mobile game to trumpet "moving seaweed" as one of its selling points, which we think is a good thing. Anyway, Lego Bionicle Defender is out next month, so click 'Track it!' for an alert when we review it.
