LED Basketball takes the iPhone back in time

Eeee, when I were a lad we didn't have all these new fangled colour touchscreen iWotjamacallits. All we 'ad were a black an' white screen wi' a single game on it what ran off watch batteries, and we were glad of 'em!
You young 'uns who don't know you're born should swing on by the App Store and take a look at LED Basketball – a retro game in more ways than one. Recreating the classic style of handheld games when the concept was first born, LED Basketball adds a fantastically nostalgic plastic orange case (complete with wood effect veneer) to the screen-printed graphics of a simplistic basketball court.
What this really highlights is a concept that's unlikely to ever actually make it onto the App Store - Nintendo Game & Watch conversions. The iPhone would be perfect for recreating everything about those classic Nintendo LCD games, but it's likely to remain something of an unrealised dream.
Still, these LED recreations from touchGrove go a long way toward filling that void, and at only 59p, strolling down Memory Lane looks very tempting.
