Beat up waves of enemies to save the emperor

Hi-ya! It's Kung Fu: Imperial Guards on mobile phones

If you're responsible for ensuring a head of state doesn't get assassinated, kung fu must be a handy skill to have. Maybe the Queen should send the Buckingham Palace guards on a course, although we reckon those busby hats might mess up your balance while performing drop kicks.

Anyway, busby hats don't feature in Kung Fu: Imperial Guards. The game's set in the fictional Sui-Tang dynasty, and has you playing one of two heroes: HongFu and LiJing.

Apparently they 'share their love for each other with their loyalty to their emperor', which is handy really: if one of them was a revolutionary firebrand dedicated to overthrowing the evil old despot, they probably wouldn't get on half as well.

The game? It's a beat-'em-up where you have to kill a stack of enemies to beat each level. And, er, that's it.

The game's been developed by Faces Of Mars, is being published by Xing Mobile, and will be out for a wide range of phones soon.
