Krypton Egg would be a great name for for a TV show that combined the Krypton Factor with the Great Egg Race. A kind of 'invent your own assault course in a scrap yard' theme, perhaps?

Anyway, that's not what Krypton Egg is about. This is actually a cryptically titled Breakout clone for smartphones that began life some 19 years ago. It's been through a few different formats in its time, and has now found its way to Palm and WinMo, with Symbian and PC following next month.

Promising 72 levels, 30 bonuses and power-ups and some crazy multi-ball action (up to a dozen on some levels apparently), Krypton Egg looks set for another hot revival. Head on over to the official site for a gameplay video, then bounce one off the 'Track It!' button for more info as it comes in.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
