With driving games dominating the early PSP launch period, it’s no surprise to hear that streetwise tune-and-race game Juiced is coming to PSP. A million-seller on consoles, the game lets you race and crash muscle cars, winning better cars as well as the ability and parts to customise to your heart’s content, both in terms of the car’s cosmetic appearance as well as engine parts, aerofoils, tyres, alloys and all the rest. For the PSP version, eight new characters and crews are promised, as well as two new locations and eight new tracks. More important for petrolheads will be the inclusion of nine new cars and over 100 body-kit components to take customisation to the max.

The single-player mode will be streamlined with a better career mode progression, but in keeping with PSP’s wi-fi, multiplayer will be a major focus. The Eliminator mode is one headline, where the slowest racer on the track will be dropped out after each lap, leaving the winner as the last man racing. Other multiplayer options include the ability to build custom racing crews that work together as a team to win races and pink slip racing, where you compete for cash or cars.

Juiced: Eliminator is being re-bored ready for a summer 2006 release.
