So far, there's been a lack of games that use the DSi's cameras. Surprisingly, though, the just-announced puzzle range from new UK casual publisher zushi (a renamed version of Zoo Publishing) offers some possibilities.

The basic JIGAPIX games - three animal-themed titles with names such as Wild World, Wonderful World and Pets will launch - allow you to reorder 80 pretty pictures in jigsaw form, as well as do mini-games with them such as Spot the Difference and Sliding Blocks.

So far, so sub-tweenie.

However, the games will also enable DSi owners to create their own puzzles using photos taken on their DSis. Obviously this option won’t be available on a standard DS.

"You can now take a picture of absolutely anything, and JIGAPIX will then create a jigsaw of your picture," says the press release. After planting this seed, we leave the possibilities to the reader’s imagination.

Other JIGAPIX titles planned include Smiley World and Love is... and more licenses and themes are promised. Interestingly, you can play these puzzles in multiplayer mode too, although there's no mention of whether you can actually share your user-generated content via local wireless.

The JIGAPIX range is due to be launched in the winter.
