I-play has announced that a number of its franchises will be on their way to the Android platform over the coming year, including hits such as Bubble Town and Fast & the Furious.

‘We will be ramping up our focus on the smartphone market… especially on Android’, said Keith Adair, vice-president of sales & marketing.

The initial titles listed for release include boy-racer’s dream machine Fast & The Furious: Adrenaline; the Borb-bashing Bubble Town 2; tropical match-three Paradise Quest; and everyone’s favourite box-based game of chance Deal or No Deal.

According to I-play, Android versions of these titles will include 'connected social and micro-transaction features', so they won't merely be direct ports of the Java or iPhone releases.

We’ll hopefully be taking a look at these titles as and when they hit the Android Market and carriers' portals later in the year.
