ChAIR's high falutin' iPhone brawler Infinity Blade is getting what looks like a generous update after just two weeks on the App Store.

Infinity Blade was much-hyped prior to its release thanks to a jaw-dropping tech demo hosted by Apple in September. It lived up to expectations, coming away with an impressive Pocket Gamer Gold Award at review.

The first update will provide five new swords, five new shields, five new helmets, and a new set of armour. The maximum character level will be increased from 40 to 45, and the game will acquire a new enemy with the disgusting name of Marrow Fiend, which eats its victims and uses their bones as swords and shields.

“By popular demand,” in the words of ChAIR's PR people, it's now possible to buy extra gold through in-app purchases.

ChAIR promises more new content in future updates, including new areas, new enemies, New swords, shields, helmets, and magic rings. Multiplayer is also incoming.
