Android owners looking forward to taking their bloodline through the God King’s castle are in a for a disappointment, as it appears the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning iOS game Infinity Blade will not be coming to the platform any time soon, despite the engine that powers bridging the divide.

In an interview with Ars Technica, Epic VP Mark Rein revealed that while the company is still committed to bringing out the Unreal Engine for the platform, there are no ‘immediate plans in terms of our own games’.

Rein highlighted the fragmentation of hardware as the major concern, stating that, "our concerns are probably the same as John Carmack's. Lots of good hardware, but it's all over the map.

"It will get there, I'm sure, but our technology can be licensed and used on Android. It's just not as big a focus for us as iOS."
