The AIAS Interactive Achievement Awards recognise the best console, computer, and mobile games on the market. This year's edition of what's occasionally described as the "Video Gaming Oscars" is finally over and done with.

Although PS3, Xbox 360, and PC role-playing adventure title The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim stole the show this time around with five awards, pocket gaming heroes Infinity Blade II, Super Mario 3D Land, and The Sims Social also managed to nab some accolades.

The first two received Mobile Game of the Year and Handheld Game of the Year awards, respectively, while The Sims Social grabbed the Social Networking Game of the Year award.

We deemed Infinity Blade II worthy of a Pocket Gamer Silver Award when we reviewed it back in December, and gave the latest adventures of Nintendo's overweight plumber a coveted Gold Award.

You know, in case you were wondering.
