Fix incoming from Chair and Epic for Infinity Blade II iPad and iPod touch memory issues

If you've downloaded Chair Entertainment's Silver Award-winning Infinity Blade II and tried to play it on your first-gen iPad or iPod touch, you may have encountered some issues with the game crashing.

Vice president of Epic Games (Chair's parent company) Mark Rein has revealed on Epic's community forums that this hitch is likely caused by the way iOS caches the apps on your device.

"If you have a large number of apps installed iOS must cache all those icons to give you smooth performance when you hit the home button. Unfortunately the machines we tested on didn’t have massive numbers of apps installed on them so we think this how we think we missed this particular condition," Rein explains.

Mark'll Fix It

According to Rein, a fix for the problem is in the works, and will be submitted to Apple's approval process "as soon as possible".

While you wait for the fix to hit the App Store, Rein suggests that you restart your device straight after installing Infinity Blade II. How do you do that? Turn it off and on again, basically.

If you still want to download Infinity Blade II, you can nab the Universal app by clicking on the button below. It'll cost you £4.99 / $6.99.
