If you ever watched the TV series Hotel Babylon (and we'll suggest you're best off not admitting in public if you did) you'll know that all sorts goes on in hotels.

Which is one of the reasons we're expecting Hotel Giant, which has just been announced for DS, to fulfil every voyeur's dreams, as well as, of course, keep your average simulation game fan happy.

The Hotel Giant series began on PC in 2002 (screenshot pictured) and has sold over a million copies since. Described as a management/life-sim game, it plonks you in the tourism industry and tests your building, designing and management skills. Once your hotel is open, you can follow your guests around, keeping an eye on their behaviour, moods and what they like and dislike about your hospitality.

Not much has been revealed about how the DS game will differ but it will have full stylus gameplay and an intuitive and specially designed navigation system, apparently. Whether it'll have rock stars visiting and attempting to chuck various bits of furniture out of windows, then leaving little 'presents' on the bed for the cleaner remains to be seen.

Hotel Giant DS is due for a worldwide release towards the end of this year. We hope it ends up being a suitably five-star experience.
