Hot Air Bloon floats onto iPhone

There have already been plenty of successful Bloon games on the App Store, notably Bloons and Bloons TD.

Now another of the popular Flash game involving balloons and a monkey has been released - Hot Air Bloon.

Taking more of an arcade action approach, you have to keep your monkey cradling balloon from crashing into obstacles, while popping as many of the balloons as possible. Simply press on the screen to get it to rise and release to let it fall back down.

Based on the Flash game - which you can sample here - the iPhone version of Hot Air Bloon has additional story elements in terms of the evil monkey baron having stolen your simian girlfriend.

There are also boss characters to defeat such as giant wasps and whales, with achievements and high scores being handled by Apple's Game Center.
