Magmic fuses art and gaming in Hidden Galaxies: The Voyage Home

Adding further fuel to the never-ending 'games as art' debate, Magmic has teamed up with New York-based artist eepmon to produce its latest title, Hidden Galaxies: The Voyage Home.

Hidden Galaxies: The Voyage Home is a hidden object game set deep in space after the Eepmons spaceship has been sucked into a wormhole. Eep, the lone survivor and first technical officer, must find the missing crew and their cargo in order to return home and save the planet Eepmon from cosmic obliteration.

Magmic has eschewed the traditional poking-around-creaking-old houses-for-candlesticks-and-other-tat approach, though, in Hidden Galaxies: The Voyage Home. Instead, it invites you to navigate through beautifully surreal spacescapes drawn up by eepmon himself.

Hidden Galaxies: The Voyage Home definitely looks the part, and you'll be able to find out on Thursday if its gameplay matches its visuals. It'll retail for £1.49 / $1.99 from the App Store.
