Dungeon-crawlers everywhere: rejoice. A demo of Square Enix's upcoming multiplayer action RPG Heroes of Ruin will be available to download from the 3DS eShop this Thursday.

This game looks like a mash-up of the Monster Hunter series and Squeenix's own Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, and offers adventurers the chance to team up with up to three other friends for some monster-smashing fun.

You'll crawl through dungeons as one of four slightly tweaked fantasy archetypes: the sword-swinging Vindicator, the ranged expert Gunslinger, the magical Alchitect, or the Savage, who hits things with his bare hands until they're dead.

Alongside the Heroes of Ruin demo tomorrow, you'll be able to get your hands on 3D Solitaire and '90s Game Boy game Tumble Pop from the 3DS Virtual Console, and innovative tower defence title Devil Band - Rock The Underworld from DSiWare.

And if that's not exhilarating enough, there's a new episode of Shaun the Sheep going up on Nintendo Video, too.

While you count down the hours until that incredibly exciting event, check out our hands-on with Heroes of Ruin on 3DS. Go on.
