Capcom cracks open Hatchlings for iPhone
Eggs over easy?
Capcom has announced the release of Hatchlings, a new game for the iPhone and iPod touch.
Cast as Echo The Gecko (no relation to the dolphin or Gex we assume), the player must help the cold-blooded protagonist maintain the Great Hatchery.
If all this sounds like a lot of responsibility, don’t worry, this is just another match-3 puzzler.
Lining up three corresponding hatchlings vertically or horizontally will cause them to disappear, and prevent the play area from becoming too crowded.
Have a look at the screenshots to get a good idea of how the game plays. There are 18 levels in total.
Alongside Capcom's cleverly self-referential Dark Void Zero, Hatchlings will feature full OpenFeint integration - the first of the company's games to do so - and both titles will feature in OpenFeint’s new Game Spotlight app for the next two weeks.
Hatchlings - priced 99c, €0.79 or 59p - and Dark Void Zero, are available now from the AppStore.
