iPhone puzzler Hard Lines goes free, gets updated with new modes, power-ups, in-game currency

Spilt Milk Studios's neon puzzler Hard Lines has been treated to a "huge" update, which includes new modes, in-game currency, and achievements.

There's also a selection of brand-new power-ups at your disposal, such as Tortoise (slows down your foes), Ghost (allows you to move through your opponents), and Stupid Bomb (your foes stop turning).

All five power-ups can be upgraded to increase their uses-per-game, power, and reload speed using new in-game currency Hard Cash, which can earned as you play.

It's also possible to grab three different bundles - small, medium, large - of this currency through in-app purchase.

Furthermore, there's an in-app purchase titled ‘infinite HARD CASH’, which unlocks a new game mode called Lionel's Hard Cash. This mode, which is inspired by Duck Tales, offers a tweaked version of Snake mode, and Hard Cash for every pickup you grab.

Finally, Daily Challenge mode - which is free - tasks you with completing a new challenge every single day. You'll be rewarded with a Hard Cash bonus should you manage to complete it.
