According to developer Spilt Milk Studios’s Twitter feed, its addictive and charming Snake-cum-Tron title Hard Lines is being adapted for the Android OS as I type.

No details about this port from iOS are yet known, but since CEO Andrew Smith tweeted that he was “excited…to play the #Android build of #HardLines on Thursday”, we shouldn't have to wait too long to see the finished version.

We were rather impressed by Hard Lines when we reviewed it on iPhone in mid-June, praising its gameplay, pleasingly retro presentation, and the caustic, witty dialogue.

Whether this forthcoming Android iteration will contain the multiplayer mode Hard Lines is crying out for remains to be seen / tweeted. It would definitely make me feel marginally better losing to my friends directly, rather than over a scoreboard.

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
