Developer Spilt Milk Studios has revealed through its Twitter account that a new update to its Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning Hard Lines is on its way.

"OH MY GOD we're submitting the latest update to #HardLines RIGHT THIS SECOND! #gamecenter #iPad #achievements", the tweet rather excitedly reads.

And as you can see from its hashtags, the upcoming version will include Game Center integration for achievements and support for Apple's iPad.

Whether any other new features also sneak in remains to be seen.

Up, down, left, right

Gameplay in Hard Lines involves controlling a neon line called Lionel, who attempts to destroy other lines and achieve a high score by causing them to crash.

You undergo this mission across six game modes such as Survival, which sees you gobbling up glowing bits and trying to survive for as long as possible, and Gauntlet, where you're pitted against swarms of rival lines.

If you weren't lucky enough to grab Hard Lines on Wednesday when it was free, you can grab it today for 69p / 99c / €0.79.

We should see the update in a couple of weeks, providing it makes it through Apple's strict approval process unscathed.
