Earlier this week, the Washington State Business License Directory curiously included 'Bungie Aerospace Corporation', with Bungie overlord Harold Ryan serving as director.

The software behemoth has subsequently filed a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for 'Crimson.' The name is listed under the rather wordy description of 'computer game software downloadable from a global computer network', and, wait for it, 'computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones.'

Halo Revisited We've been here before, of course. Excitement ensued in 2008 when it was rumoured that Bungie would be releasing Halo on iPhone, which finally emerged as the companion app Halo Waypoint.

However, a quick peek at Bungie's job listings page shows that it's looking to hire a senior mobile application programmer, with 'comprehensive understanding of at least one current mobile [software development kit] (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, etc…).'

This is all typically ambiguous, but even the most ardent cynic can decipher that Bungie are doing some, well, stuff with mobile phones, possibly involving gaming, or possibly just networking.

With Bungie - and its long-term publishing partner Activision - remaining tight-lipped on the matter, and Bungie absent from E3 next month, we'll dare to dream until something official is announced.
