Two-tone puzzler Shift out now on Android

Out of Beta and onto the Market

It might have dropped a couple of colons along the way, but ingenious black and white platform-puzzler Shift appears to have made its way to Android otherwise intact.

This follows a limited Beta period in which the quirky game was put through its paces on an assortment of Android hardware.

Shift is an ostensibly simple case of getting your little man to each 2D level’s exit. While the movement controls are simple enough – left, right, and both to jump – it’s the titular ‘shift’ ability that really marks the game out.

Doing this turns everything on its head, flipping the world upside down and reversing the two-tone colour scheme. Empty space becomes solid earth, and solid earth becomes empty space.

It looks like just the sort of brain tickler we like. We’ll have a review for you soon to find out if this is the case.

Shift is available now on the Android Market for £1.25.
