The slew of dual-core Android phones doesn’t look like easing up any time soon, as all major UK networks have now confirmed that they will be stocking HTC’s new flagship device, the Sensation, before the end of summer.

HTC is hoping The Sensation will be the company’s Galaxy S II-beater, packing a top-of-the-range Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor under its huge 4.3-inch screen.

It comes with Gingerbread as standard, plus an updated version of the Sense UI, which is hopefully less all-consuming than its predecessor when it comes to background activity.

There’s also full 1080P recording and playback, no doubt thanks to the increased power and 8-megapixel camera.

The phone will launch initially on the Vodafone network next month, with the company currently running a pre-order page for those wanting alerts for when it nails down a release date and pricing plans.

T-Mobile and Orange should be stocking the phone from June, Three has committed to ‘Summer’, while O2 is remaining coy about the date and has settled for a "coming soon".
