HTC has raced out of the Mobile World Congress gates by announcing not just one, but three new Android handsets, all set to be released later in 2012.

The One X, One S, and One V are, in terms of specs at least, all primarily defined by their screen size, with the X's measuring in as the largest at 4.7 inches. All models come with HTC's much-touted (but debatable in terms of aural improvement) Beats technology.

While the One S packs a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor under the hood, the One X is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 chip. These two high-performance beasts, however, will rock identical 8-megapixel cameras (with an f/2.0 lens); boast 720p displays; and come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed.

The One that you want?

Because HTC doesn't list the processor speed among the One V's specs, by the way, we suspect it's probably a little bit slower than the rest.

The One V doesn't appear to be packing the same lens as the other two phones, either, and its smaller 3.7-inch screen suggests this Ice Cream Sansdwich handset will be aimed firmly at the mid-market.

All of HTC's One series of handsets will be released worldwide in the second quarter of the year. Orange UK has confirmed that it'll be one of the networks stocking the HTC One X and S at launch.
