Rumour: HTC to unveil two Tegra 3 Android phones at MWC in February

It’s increasingly looking like it’ll be the year of the quad-core smartphones, with a number of companies already looking to unveil their latest, cutting-edge creations on the world at next week’s CES technology show in Las Vegas.

One of those that won’t though is HTC, with rumours suggesting that the Taiwanese company is keeping its own cards close to its chest for now.

According to JPMorgan Chase analyst Alvin Kwok, HTC is rumoured to be readying two quad-core devices for next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (which we’ll be attending).

Notably, the two handsets are said to be running Nvidia’s Tegra 3 processor - a significant departure for a company that has up until now almost exclusively used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon as the basis for its internal operations.
