HTC 2010 lineup leaked

Plenty of love for Android in this product portfolio

HTC 2010 lineup leaked

There was a time when a crystal ball was required to access visions of the future, but these days we find that the internet is far more effective.

Thanks to a naughty-type leak, the 2010 portfolio of highly-esteemed mobile manufacturer HTC is now available for all to see. While it includes little in the way of radical surprises there’s plenty to get excited about all the same.

For ease of reference, HTC has kindly divided its range into four distinct categories: Design & Lifestyle, Performance, Social and Productivity.

Under Design & Lifestyle we have two Android-powered devices to look forward to: The Legend (presumably positioned as the successor to the much-loved Hero) and The Salsa.

Interestingly, the latter is a candy bar design with QWERTY keypad on the face, similar to the BlackBerry layout. The Legend retains the familiar HTC “chin” that was so loved/hated by users on the T-Mobile G1 and Hero, and is due to hit store shelves in March. The Salsa will follow in June.

The Performance category contains just one phone, but it’s a beauty. The Bravo will boast a Snapdragon QSD 8250 1GHz CPU and a 3.7″ WVGA AMOLED. It’s also going to be Android-powered, and is clearly going to be HTC’s flagship device for the first part of 2010. It’s coming in April.

In the Social sector we have the Tide and the Buzz, both of which use the Android operating system. Judging from the technical specifications and the aesthetics, these will be intended for the same sector of the market as the recently-released “budget-Android” HTC Tattoo. The duo is slated for release in April and May respectively.

Finally we have the Productivity section, which is occupied by three Windows Mobile 6.5 phones. The Photon, Trophy and Tera are all expected between April and June of next year.
