Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock lets you be a roadie on DS

Guitar Hero's sixth iteration, Warriors of Rock, has some surprises in store for rock legends who own both a Wii and a DS.

Like the previous game, Guitar Hero 5: Warriors of Rock features Roadie Quickplay and Roadie Battle modes. These let friends ally up, with one players strumming away on their Wii peripheral of choice while their faithful roadie friend helps out on DS.

By playing mini-games on Nintendo's little dual-screened handheld, the roadie can unleash positive spells like score-multipliers and note streak savers to help out their Wiitar playing buddy. If you're battling it out, you can also send out attacks to a competing guitarist, like setting the note highway on fire or making it insanely fast.

New to this game is the ability to assist drum and bass players too (GH5 only featured guitar based roadies), and for as many as eight players to battle at once with four rockers on Wii and four roadies on their individual DS systems.

You can also make a set list on your DS, if you really want to. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock hits Wii later this year.
