Rockstar cuts iPhone GTA: Chinatown Wars price to celebrate the New Year

While some romantic fools empty their wallets on flowers, chocolates, cards and stupid cuddly things this weekend, others will be celebrating the Year of the Tiger in good gaming style by snapping up Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the iPhone, which has 30 per cent off to welcome the Chinese New Year.

One of the most popular games the iPhone has ever seen, GTA: Chinatown Wars is currently available on the App Store for $6.99/£3.99 - not a massive saving, but enough to buy a few dim sum and an extra cup of jiu (or three).

The PSP and DS versions don't seem to be celebrating the Year of the Tiger, remaining at full, extortionate Valentine's Day prices.

The Chinatown Wars App Store sale ends on Sunday, February 14th, so don't waste time if you haven't already picked up this hot gaming hong bao.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
