Go Ape For Gorillaz

They've just won a Grammy and now they're coming for your phones. Yes, the Gorillaz have signed up with RealNetworks to appear in their first mobile game, Gorillaz Entertainment System.

Due out in April, it's been developed by Real's Mr Goodliving studio, which is also responsible for the Playman series of sports games. GES takes the simple controls of those titles, and weds them to visuals provided by Zombie Flesh Eaters, the design company of original Gorillaz creator Jamie Hewlett.

The game is a series of mini-games based on the individual Gorillaz characters – 2D, Noodle, Murdoc and Russel – each with a retro feel. We got a hands-on glimpse at last week's 3GSM mobile trade show in Barcelona, and it's shaping up to be quite a title. We'll have a review for you as soon as we (wait for it) Dare…
