Video shows God of War: Betrayal in all its gory glory

If you've been wondering exactly how Sony would be able to translate the intense, gore-heavy action of the God of War series onto mobile, then wonder no longer because we can show it to you.

The gameplay video below takes a serrated edge to many concerns, showing off a variety of bloody attacks upon all manner of mythic creatures, accompanied by the series' trademark symphonic score.

There's clearly plenty of platform-leaping/door-opening action thrown in, too, but as with its illustrious parent, the (ripped out, still beating) heart of the matter is good old-fashioned carnage.
