The two previous games in this series were exclusive to the Nokia E51, which we have to say has put a dent in the availability of Global Race and Global Cricket.

This latest addition from Gamelion reportedly works on all Symbian 3rd edition handsets, however, which should increase its customer base to more reasonable levels. And it's a shame the two previous titles were so restricted, as Global Baseball apparently makes a profound effort to bring the sports game closer to the casual realm.

We're told by Gamelion that you can essentially forget about learning rules of baseball before jumping straight into the game, while it still offers an immersive sporting experience through simplified game mechanics and excellent 3D visuals.

What's particularly intriguing is the distribution method. Global Baseball uses an activation system, allowing gamers to download the application from any participating host, then activate it after installation. The majority of mobile games are currently restricted to downloading through specific operators, so this freedom of availability is an interesting break from the norm. If more publishers adopt this method, picking up new mobile games could get even easier.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
