The hunt for DSi augmented reality game Ghostwire’s publisher is over

Majesco reveals its support

The hunt for DSi augmented reality game Ghostwire’s publisher is over

The most surprising thing about the Nokia Mobile Games Innovation Challenge 2008 was not the outcome of the event, but that the winning title, Ghostwire, didn’t have a publisher behind it.

Today its good news for all those who have been following the innovative title's progress. Majesco Entertainment, the company that first made a name for itself by pouncing on old titles that had been abandoned by their original publishers, has recently announced that it is taking the up the mantle.

Developed by A Different Game, Ghostwire: Link to the Paranormal is exclusive to DSi and makes full use of the handheld's multiple cameras and touchscreens to create a wholly spine-tingling gaming experience.

"Ghostwire: Link to the Paranormal integrates cutting-edge technology with a unique augmented reality aesthetic to create a truly exciting piece of software specifically designed for Nintendo DSi," says Majesco's Gui Karyo

The game's not due for release until late next year. Until then, have a look at the trailer, or watch Ghostbusters.
