Named its Top Recommended Game of 2011 by Facebook, Disney-owned Playdom has rolled out its hidden object hit Gardens of Time for iPhone and iPod touch.

It originally came to the App Store for iPad in December, and now the game has become an universal app.

Focus and relax

Plot-wise, you join the Time Society, a group of time-traveling detectives who zoom around human history, spending their time looking at highly complex graphical scenes and finding strange selections of objects that are hidden within.

You get to swing your way through Egyptian Pyramids, The Great Wall of China, Westminster Abbey etc, collecting artifacts and personalising your own garden when you get back to your home time and place - hence the title.

Hooking into social features, you can challenge other players, send gifts and hints, and visit friends' personal gardens to help with quests.

Gardens of Time is out now for iPad and iPhone, and free-to-play.
