Gamevil lands on planet App World

Gamevil has been dominant in the mobile arena for quite some time, but has also shown real interest in the iPhone and particularly Android. The LA-based publisher is now shifting its interest towards the Blackberry and its recently launched App World.

“Blackberry has always been considered as a platform of high priority to us,” says Eusoon Han, marketing manager at Gamevil. “We believe App World will be a great opportunity for us, and a necessary step that we have been awaiting. With nearly 50 million Blackberry users around the world, App World has the potential to be the next big thing.”

It’s kicking things off with a collection of six older titles that it’s also been using to test out the iPhone’s App Store and Android Market: Baseball Superstars 2008, Golf Superstars 2008, GT Drift: Untouchable, ROCKin' Stone, Super Boom Boom, and Skipping Stone IQ.

Gamevil promises more Blackberry games once these have settled into the App World, so keep an eye out for more Gamevil news as we get it.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
