Interactive Gamebook Adventures hits iOS for six with The Wizard from Tarnath Tor

Proving its continuing commitment to its Gamebook Adventures series of interactive books, Australian developer Tinman Games has just released its sixth standalone.

Like the previous episodes, The Wizard from Tarnath Tor is a universal app for iPhone and iPad.

It places you travelling to the legendary City of Tarnath Tor, destroyed two hundred years ago, and now just a place of stories and myths. However, a chance encounter with one who claims to be a time traveller sends you on a mission into the great ruins.

Turning the page

Written by Al Sander – winner of the 2008 Windhammer Prize for short gamebook fiction – the game forces you to make choices on each page. Finding items, and fighting creatures with simulated dice, the narrative changes depending on the outcome of your actions.

The Wizard from Tarnath Tor supports Game Center for achievements, and has unlockable illustrations from series regular Dan Maxwell.

Priced $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79 for a limited period (normal price $4.99), Gamebook Adventures 6: The Wizard from Tarnath Tor is available now.

And in celebration, all five previous games in the series are also priced $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79.

You can find out more about the games from its website, or get an idea what it's about from the following video.
