Greystripe signs new ad-funded mobile game deals

Ten new partners for AdWRAP platform

Greystripe signs new ad-funded mobile game deals
|

We've written a fair bit about the GameJump portal in the past – it's run by a company called Greystripe, and offers free mobile games, funded by advertising.

However, there's more to Greystripe than GameJump. In fact, the company says 85 per cent of its downloads come from the portals it runs for other companies. And it's just added ten partners to that network, making a total of 40.

The ten are: GameMobile.co.uk, Zedge, Cellware, Tagtag, Funformobile, Kobrawap, Lasyk, Esato, MobileRated and Buzzcity.

Greystripe now has a catalogue of more than 900 mobile games, and has signed up publishers like Digital Chocolate, Vivendi Games Mobile, and Hands-On Mobile.

The new deals are good news for Greystripe, though. The economics of the ad-funded business mean the more sites it distributes games through, the more people will download them, and the more adverts will be seen / clicked on (in theory), resulting in more moolah for all concerned.
