Indie gaming festival GameCity - taking place this year in Nottingham from October 30th to November 1st - already has a crazy long list of events going on. Everything from a making-of GoldenEye commentary from the legendary David Doak and a BAFTA vision statement from LittleBigPlanet genuises Media Molecule to a world record attempt at zombie-make-up-wearing on Halloween and an early hands-on with TT Games's Guinness World Records: The Videogame.

But its games-rich line-up has just got undeniably more exciting with the inclusion of one event, which combines three of your (hopefully) favourite things. That's Pocket Gamer (of course), the DS and - mmm - cake.

At this year's GameCity, Pocket Gamer will be hosting a Thursday evening at Nottingham's Lee Rosy's tea shop. Simply bring along your DS and you can join us winding down after a hectic first day at the festival with a cup of tea, all the cake you could want and all the DS multiplayer action you can manage.

There'll be vicious red shell-chucking racing with Mario Kart, block-building rivalry in Puzzle League or - for the more intellectual - brain-based Dr Kawashima challenges. In short, it's going to be brilliant.

You can find out more about the evening (and the rest of the festival line up and ticket details) over at the official GameCity site. Lee Rosy's can be found at 17 Broad Street, Hockley, Nottingham, NG1 3AJ (opposite the Broadway cinema).

We look forward to seeing you there. Although not if you're under the age of 12 and better than us at Mario Kart, of course.
