Donkey Kong Country 3

Gaming king, Kong, kidnapped!

Donkey Kong Country 3

Despite their brutish appearance, gorillas are incredibly smart and can even be taught to communicate via sign language. That doesn't stop them from being kidnapped, however.

Which is exactly the situation the video game veteran, Donkey Kong, finds himself in for Donkey Kong Country 3, relying on sidekick Dixie and her cousin Kiddy to save the day by successfully negotiating the game's eight substantial chapters. These are composed of numerous levels involving jumping agility and fighting ability, as well as mini-games where the objective is to earn bananas in order to unlock further levels and features. The mini-games, which involve anything from collecting stars while slipping down a tube or shooting enemies during a speedboat river chase, deserve a particular mention as they threaten to distract you from your rescue duties. At least they are still available once the main game is completed.

Another feature that's likely to prove a very smart move is a multiplayer mode, which lets gamers take it in turn to play through the game as the two protagonists. It should add an interesting dynamic to an otherwise singleplayer-focused experience, whilst providing further longevity to an already substantial package.
