The original game wasn't even released on DS, but apparently so successful was the Wii version that all Nintendo consoles are being invited to don funny hats and flick jelly and ice cream around the joint in Game Party 2.

Of course not. Instead this is the sort of fun mini-game collection that are isbeginning to saturate said Nintendo platforms, only this one is so generic, Midways couldn't even think up a good name for it.

What next? Shooters called Gun, or racers called Race Driver? Ummm...

Anyhow, you'll be able to check out mini-games such as bean bags, puck bowling, hoop shoot and skillball in the game - there are 11 in total. All can be played in single player, but - as the title suggests - they're best played in a party-stylee against others.

To help get the atmosphere going, you'll be able to create a profile and then use it to track your progress and skill level. You'll also be able to create a character and unlock extended content by earning tickets that enable you to get new game modes, playing surfaces and equipment.

And it goes without saying that Game Party 2 will be an enjoyable experience for players of every age, so you've got no excuse not to be at least a little bit interested.

The game is due out on both Wii and DS this October.
