Okay, so this needs a bit of background. The Zeebo is an intriguing new system launched in Brazil, that blends together the living room console with mobile gaming. It's a platform operates entirely on digital downloads accessed via a 3G network connection, so to be quite honest we're not entirely sure whether or not it falls within Pocket Gamer's remit.

That said, we're well and truly fascinated by Zeebo and are following its progress keenly – especially when we hear that German developer Fishlabs has adapted its mobile mega-smash hit Galaxy on Fire for the cool new console.

The Zeebo version of Galaxy on Fire has been optimised for a TV display, and features a new survival mode, improved artificial intelligence, a new interface design and upgraded in game sound effects and music.

This marks the first time a Fishlabs game has ever appeared on a console, though multiple award-winning Galaxy on Fire has set both the mobile and iPhone ablaze, as has its sequel.

"This development proves that we have more than met our quality requirement of developing high-quality mobile games with a console feeling," said Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade. "Thanks to the Zeebo opportunity, with its unbeatable price-performance ratio and the download over the 3G network, high-quality video games can now be introduced in growth markets such as Brazil."

Forget Brazil. Where's my Zeebo?

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
