Samsung's forthcoming duo of high-end handsets are promising to be corkers.

As well as the intriguing Bada-powered Samsung Wave, we've been keeping our beady eyes fixed on the Android 2.1-powered Galaxy S.

We knew it was headed for the UK, but now it's emerged that it will be a Vodafone exclusive. The operator has the device listed as “Coming Soon” on its website, and you can register your interest right now.

There are no prices listed for the handset yet, but you can be sure that you'll have to pay a premium given the mammoth specs.

Like the Wave, the Galaxy S boasts a potentially class-leading Super AMOLED screen (this time a whopping 4-inch job). Also, along with the Wave, it will be the only handset to have received DivX certification for its 720p HD video output capabilities.

All this multimedia goodness requires a hefty 1GHz processor under the hood in order to run smoothly, backed by 16GB of internal memory.

We'll bring you contract pricing news as we get it.
