It sounds like something out The Marx Brothers’ glorious Duck Soup, but instead of the small democratic country of Freedonia - run by Rufus T. Firefly of course - the latest iPhone game from Tag Games is reportedly a work-for-hire appointment from General Schmerdiakov, the cruel yet loveable dictator of Slabovia.

Throwing another cinematic comparison into the mix however, the gameplay of the said title - GUTS - is more like Innerspace.

You’re injected into the General’s body in order to make him more loveable and less dictatorial we assume.

Comprising of six core levels and five transition mini-games, you’ll get to sooth the general’s stomach ulcers and blast apart kidney stones before re-wiring his brain.

But unlike Team America’s "So Ronery" Kim Jong-il, the General is made of stern stuff. His edict: "Buy this game. Enjoy this game. Or be punished" has been released to the people.

Priced at $2.99, €2.39 or £1.79, GUTS will be available from the App Store on 27th October 2009.
